Braxton hicks 😭

Katelin • Marley's mama- 10/26/17 🎀 Engaged 10.06.17 💍
I've been having (what I believe is) Braxton Hicks contractions since about 3 days ago, every day they seem to be getting more frequent. Today I'm exactly 20 weeks, and I'm terrified of it being premature labor and me just chalking it up to BHs as my mother had a miscarriage with twins at 19 weeks two years before I was born, I was born at 27 weeks 1 lb 14 oz (a ton of issues at birth and spent a great deal of time in the NICU- I want to say like 5 months or something, grade 3 brain bleed, g tube, etc) and my younger sister who's seven years younger than I am was born at 24 weeks and weighed 1 lb 4 oz at birth and was born the day of vitality. How do I know they're BHs and not something else? They don't increase in intensity but they do really hurt, I've tried taking a shower, drinking fluids, changing positions, etc but the only thing that really seemed to help was laying down for a bit... They really hurt- more than my menstrual pains did. 😕 I'm due for an ultrasound and pap smear in about five days so I'm considering mentioning it then as I've read BHs aren't supposed to hurt, but I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill... Any advice? FTM. Thanks♡
