Showers are a time for people to celebrate you and the baby. You're husband doesn't have to be involved and you're not the one planning it. We are having both but I knows few people against a gender reveal party, we r having a 4th of July party turned gender reveal and hubby was into it cause he bought a blue or pink firework lol. but yea this is both your baby try to explain your reasoning and compromise. I'd be upset if my hubby didn't want me to have a shower. I've been to a million and always wanted my own!

I personally don't understand the need for all the parties. They get expensive and most the time cause stress. To each their own. If you want them just compromise and don't expect him to be involved.

I don't know about "it's not for men" it's his baby too, I think it's for both parents to celebrate their baby together. I think you should talk about it and see if there is a compromise that can be reached. He does not have to be involved if he chooses. I kinda like the idea but more of a super casual gathering.
