Does it get easier mommies?

I had my sweet boy 3 months ago. I would say he's super easy! Doesn't cry a lot and sleeps for good chunks at a time at night. I'm really lucky. However, during the day he is always awake and needs a lot of entertainment or he gets a little fussy. Still not bad at all though. I just don't seem to have any "me" time. To be honest one of my favorite things to do before having my son was play an online video game and I miss it. Does it get easier in the way that you have more time for yourselves? Is it better when your baby is a little older and can self entertain? Or is it more work trying to keep your little one out of trouble? Any opinions is great. Definitely not complaining because I know it could be worse.

haha honestly it was easier when they were younger and just slept all day. my friend has a 3 year old and she seriously can't do anything because she has to focus on her daughter most of the time and when she's done with that she's cooking or cleaning lmao. maybe when your little one goes to bed that's pretty much the sacred time 😂

For me things gradually got a lot better after I went back to work (12 weeks). I was able to have quiet thoughts at my own pace which was so liberating. As he got more mobile and napped better, and learned independence from daycare he also started being a lot more fun to play and interact with and I finally started getting a break during the day. Now at 8 months he goes to bed around 6:45 and then I have all night to myself and it's so bizarre after the newborn phase to have some life back. I had a total Velcro baby who wouldn't nap anywhere but on me and it was HARD. He gets up really fucking early (avg about 5:30 am) but he sleeps so much better when he's in bed early so I go with it. He's more often sleeping straight through than not now which is another nice and weird change. You'll find your moments and cherish them!

I loved playing video games online also until my son got old enough to need more attention, and it's hard. Now my "me" time is taking a long nice shower! Just gotta switch it up a bit and it's hard adjusting to changes but it gets better.

My son is just turning 4 months and honestly it doesn't get easier in terms of your free time because they're way more alert. You also can't take your eye off of them ... I used to be able to leave my son on the couch in his boppy but now if I did that he would be wiggled off onto the floor in seconds. 
But on the flip side, you can start introducing toys. I have a little Bumbo style chair with a tray and some suction toys that I put my son in. If I'm in the kitchen doing something I'll put it in there or if I'm upstairs vacuuming I'll put him in the chair on the bed. It's really helped with his coordination and core strength and it buys me some time. You can also try carrying your LO around in a carrier but that doesn't really work for me. The second I stop moving my son wants out LOL. 
I will say though that ever since he discovered his feet a few weeks ago, I have gotten a little extra time because he just sits there playing with them haha

I mean its not even that it could be worse its that this is to be expected when you have a child. No matter the age, they need and want a lot of attention. Even my son who is pretty independent still requires most of my time and energy. I get me time when hes asleep.

I think it depends on the child. My daughter was/is a hard kid. She had to be held 24/7, wouldn't sleep in anything, cried a lot. I assumed as she'd get older and mobile she'd be a little easier. Well she started crawling/walking and she still demands attention 24/7. I cannot do anything but sit and play with her. Cooking, cleaning, hobbies.. not while she's awake. It's a little frustrating since I hear other babies are more independent and parents can do some things at times. I know she'll eventually grow out of it.. and I'll miss the 24/7 neediness, but in my opinion... it was easier when she was a baby and I just held her all the time.

Mine is 7 months and me time is after she's gone to bed... it's mostly her and me time but I'm cherishing it because I have to go back to work after a year
