Options for keeping babe out of the sun while at the beach?

My sister said many people have mentioned just using a pack and play and putting an umbrella on top. I've seen beach tents too. What are some options to keep my baby covered out of the hot sun while at the beach?

Put a fitted crib sheet over the pack and play! It fits surprisingly well and keeps the sun off while still being breathable!

They have those three sided tents which we bought but we'll probably just be with the families in the grass under the trees in the shade like when I was pregnant :)
