What would you do in my position?!

Question

Current job don't make as much$ as I would like but have a great boss, I am salary and only work about 30 hrs/ week . Small company and I have a ton of freedom and make my own schedule. Boss is 60 and while not retiring soon, someday maybe I could be a part of taking over the company..

Job I just got offered is decently higher salary but large corporation with full 40 hour work week, no freedom, strict rules and guidelines. Definitely opportunity for advancement (climbing the slow ladder of positions/titles)

I have no idea what to do. Love my job but would like more money. However my hours and freedom make current job sound better.

Both have similar insurance/benefits. Don't necessarily NEED a pay increase but would definitely be helpful in wanting to start a family.

Personally if you are fine money wise now, I wouldn't take that new job offer. Seems like you love where you are at and that new place wouldn't be the same for you. Sometimes it isn't always about the money. Yeah it's nice and we obviously need it to survive sadly, but there's more than just that aspect

Which job will you learn more at and become a better person? I look for where I can learn bc I can take the knowledge with me and use it to earn more $. I'm personally happier when I'm doing new shit (get super bored with routine work) so this strategy works for me so far. So hard to tell if you'll like the people, so I look for the challenge.

I just had a friend in like that same exact situation! She ended up leaving her job she had for years for a full time position, making more money, but stricter less laid back environment. She tried the new job out for a month and she hated it! She quit and is now back at her previous job again since they hired her back! If you don't need the money, stay at your current job!!! You'll be happier I'm sure! The worst thing ever is having a job you hate... getting up in the morning for work is 1000x worse!

I'm really thinking more about starting a family than my career at this point. Current job would leave more time to spend with kids, new job would provide more money to afford more for them and be more comfortable all around.

I honestly have no idea what to do. Kind of would be up for a change and challenge, but am afraid I would grow to hate it after working my laid back job for 4 years.
