belly button hernia

idrk if this is the question for eve but idk if anyone else has had this problem. so i was born with a belly button hernia but it's never affected me i've never had any pain or anything. i've been wanting a piercing i didn't know if it was a bad idea. anyone knwo anything about this? thanks
