Is it okay to not have a bond with your child's father ?

Me and my child's father have no bond. We are expecting in March & we barely even talk. All i want is his support being that i am pregnant and VERY emotional. He always says if you need something, Just ask.. but how can i, when everytime we talk, we end up arguing or i sound too needy?  I would love for us to get along for our babies sake but he's being so stubborn 😩😩😩😩 Like i've tried talking to him, but it's so hard t over it through his head where i'm coming from, so i just give up. But i don't want to go "ghost" on him being that i'm carrying his child.. Ladies pls help me.
