Anybody have a two year old who is still in a crib?

My DD is getting ready to turn two in a couple weeks and I can't afford to buy a toddler bed right now.. Am I a bad mom for waiting so long to get one in the first place?

We bought our son a cotbed. It is bigger then a normal cot but I don't think he will sleep in it until he is four years old. He looks like he will be quite tall like my two older children. Both of my older children slept in there cot until they where three years old. I don't think you are a bad mum. Your child is still a baby there's nothing wrong with her sleeping in the cot.

God no you are not a bad mom. Most ppl want their toddler in a crib as long as possible. We didn't switch my son til 2 1/2. He never climbed out of it so we didn't have reason to. He does love vid big boy (toddler) bed though and luckily we never had a problem with him staying in it

We just took the crib apart and put the mattress on the floor.

You can find a toddler bed for about $50 and often times less online. You just use the crib mattress.

Is your crib not able to turn into a bed? There are many places that have second hand beds for cheap. Some toddler beds you can still use the crib mattress so you wouldn't have to worry about that. I wouldn't feel bad for having him be in a crib after 2 but I wouldn't go too long.

My daughter still sleeps in a playpen and she's 2, we'd have her in a crib but she got herself stuck in the bars of it and we couldn't get her out, her leg was turning purple, it was absolutely terrifying. 
She did get unstuck before any damage was done. We're planning to put her in a toddler bed once we get our new apartment but I'm not sure how well she's handle it because she hardly stays in her bed now.

Anybody have a two year old who is still in a crib?
