friends vs girlfriend.
I never post things like this but I need to vent, the guy that I am currently dating- him and I have been best friends for 7 years. As you can imagine- we've crossed paths with people we aren't fans of from the opposite party...
Before I make myself sound totally ridiculous- this is a couple that I've never clicked with. We've never gotten along when him and I were even just friends. They would always talk shit about me and say mean things to me. But now that him and I have the title of being together- they want to invite me to bonfires and get togethers and I respectfully decline but encourage my boyfriend to go and enjoy that time with his friends. Am I wrong for not wanting to go because it will be awkward and I will feel totally uncomfortable being there.
Like they have never reached out to me before and if I saw them at a mutual gathering I would try multiple times to make small talk... am I wrong for not wanting to go? Because I am currently getting chewed out and have about 6 missed calls and 10 missed text from my other half
