Help?

So recently my periods have been all over the place. AF is usually on time like it's clockwork, and for the past few months AF has been December 28-January 1, then February 1-5, and now I'm spotting and cramping today. But I'm wondering if it's possibly because of rougher sex recently. It's really unusual for me to go 5 or even 7 weeks between periods. Do you think I should test and hope it was just the roughness? Or do you think it's my AF rearing her ugly head? My SO and I have been TTC for 4 months. Help please. Please no rude comments, thanks.
