ED and depression *DO NOT READ IF YOU CANT HANDLE TALKING ABOUT THE SUBJECTS*
Ok so im sure everyone here knows the show 13 reasons why and i personally love it for the simple fact that it gives people and parents and family members an insight into what people with depression and suicial thoughts go through everyday and while you think that simple harmless comment that you made is infact harmless it could very well be the last staw or that not saying anything at all can be more damaging to someone and that you should always say good things to people even if its simple because thats what could make the difference between them going home and killing themselves or fighting another day so anyway there is a new show or movie im not to sure comming out on netflix called to the bone and for anyone who hasnt heard of it yet its about anorexia and a girl who is going through recovery and all that and i just watched a youtube video talking about how people are trying to get netflix not to make it and to not make another season of 13 reasons why because its triggering and glamerising these subjects which im sorry is compleatly ridiculous they are blaming this show that they chose to watch of their own free will and before anyone starts anything i have depression and have had it for almost 5 years now i have cut and i have had anorexia i have recovered from both i still think about cutting but i havent in almost a year and now im not fased by scars or anything like that i dont get triggered or anything and i dont know if thats just me or what but i cant get my head around how someone chooses to look at something or watch something or read something that they know could possibly contain content that they are sensitive to or whatever and then blame who ever posted it or published it or whatever for triggering them to hurt themselves when they are the one who picked up the blade or the lighter or they are the ones who didnt eat that meal and if they are so bad they cant make a decision to not look at something that they know full well wont do them any good then they shouldnt be on their phone until they can because i think shows like these that talk about such 'tabo' subjects are fantastic and we should have more of them and maybe everyone will stop seeing us as attention seekers and weak and whatever else they want to come up with and sure im not the only one who feels this way and yes ok you cant always control what comes up in our feed on fb or whatever but when its a tv show with trailors and warning and a little parragraph saying what the show is about and you still watch it that is your own fault no elses and im sorry if that sounds harsh but its the truth and people need to stop blaming everyone else for their own mistakes when no one made them do anything
