To early to see the gender?!

Question

Is it possible to see the gender at 13 weeks from a 3D ultrasound!? I'm dying to know what I'm having! My next apt is the ultrasound at fetal maternal medicine so maybe the ultrasound tech can tell us!?  :) has anyone else found out that early!?

I was told at 13 weeks I was having a boy!

If they can clearly see a penis then it's accurate, but if they don't and say "girl" it can be wrong. My friend was told girl but had a boy,  the penis just wasn't fully developed yet.

I was 12 weeks with a regular 2d ultrasound, they said girl and it is one.

It's possible however that being said it's not very accurate or reliable. That early on you can think your seeing a penis when it's really swollen girl parts. The genitals aren't fully developed until 16 weeks and even then sometimes it can still be inaccurate. It's usually best to wait until 20 weeks to find out. If you want to find out sooner talk to your doctor about the blood test. That is 99% accurate and you can find out by like 10 weeks.

I was 14 weeks 🤷‍♀️ with a regular 2D ultrasound. 
You might be able to get a good idea of what baby is might not~ but I would still wait to have it confirmed later on
