More kids?

I'm looking for how the transition from 2 (twins) kids to 3 kids went for you mommas.  I have 6 month old twins and I completely love being a mom and I'm not sure I'm done having kids. DH and I have been talking and we think we can't go ntnp in a few months just to see what happens. So how was the transition and what is the age difference? I've heard from other twin moms that once they get to the toddler stage it's nice because they entertain themselves.
