UK Ladies ......... medication help?

I've been trying to conceive for a year now and no luck .

I know people say it will happen when happens , it will be your turn next blah blah blah

I've gone for all types of check ups and I'm all ok , I've lost over a stone and a half and exercise regularly.

Has anyone been successful with asking their doctors for help with medication ...... I've heard that clomid can help, but can I just ask for this on nhs? I can't really afford to go private

Any help you ladies can give me would be amazing
