Gynocologist

I'm going to the gyno for the first time and I've always been deathly afraid of the doctors. I very very recently became sexually active and I know I should tell her. I still live with my parents and would literally be disowned if they knew. It's just the way they are. I've heard the gyno will run tests after I say I am or she will try to get me on birth control pills, which I am very against for my personal medical reasons. However, I am very very safe when having sex. We take all precautions and about 17 more. I'm terrified of doctors and I'm really struggling with this. Any advice? What will it be like? What is your experience?
