Fussy baby?

My baby is 3 weeks old, and he began whimpering and moving a lot in his sleep, a few days ago. He's never done that before. He used to sleep for about 2-3 hours stretch through the night and now he can barely go one hour without waking himself up. I'm concerned about why he is not sleeping as much and what he could be whimpering about. Is he just uncomfortable? Or could he have something else?

Could be gassiness... roll his legs like a bicycle before bedtime.

Is baby swaddled? He could totally not be sleeping bc of that startle reflex that have in the beginning

He doesn't like to be swaddled. If I do swaddle him it has to be with his arms out or he raises hell and cries nonstop until his arms are out. If it is gas, how would I go about treating it?

There's a website called The Fussy Baby Network that has a lot of good info. My son was real colicky as a newborn and that resource saved me.
