My baby is developing a bad temper how can I sort this?

My son is 9 months old and he is becoming very strong willed. He hates getting put in a car seat, pram, high chair (basically anything that restrains him) and he screams. Even getting him changed and nappy changed is a battle cause he wants down to crawl about and rolls around making it take 10 times longer than it needs to. I understand this is just a baby and part of development. But I'm just wondering is there anything I can do to control his temper a bit or stop it getting any worse. If for example he is holding something and I take it off him he screams.

During the circumstances that my daughter is crying or raging simply because she's not getting her way (this includes being told "no," a toy not doing something the way she wants, falling down while walking, etc) I simply say, "Oh, no. This is no fun." And then I will put her in her crib until she calms down enough for me to get her (and I'm all happy and smiles when I bring her back.) I've done this enough times that now all I need to say is "Oh no, this is no fun" and she chooses to change her attitude. It's impressive. Babies are so smart. My goal was to teach her that if she wants to be around me (which of COURSE she does..that's all she wants) then I require something of her - that is, no tantrums, because that's not fun for mommy and mommy's time is valuable.

Same here . My daughter will cry everytime I put her in her car seat or walker . She starts to throw a fit and jump? Or if she's sitting she'll throw herself back. Nothing will calm her down until I pick her up.

Personally I feel like what you're describing isn't really a temper. It's baby just learning he can have a say and pushing his limits. I'd just not give into it. My LO has been a monster about the car seat since 3 months old. Now he has moments where he physically twists and turns in his pram so you don't tie him in. I just speak calmly to him saying he has to sit down, never get flustered or agitated or I feel it builds up the tantrum more and then just the minute you move the car or pram they're over it. Same with nappy, be a little firm and say no, position him and then immediately redirect him with a toy and if he cries so what. And as for what's in his hand, we've implemented a thing where we say thankyou and we ask for him to hand us things. He tests us nearly every time. Laughs, smirks, walks away, I just start with softly happily saying it, then I get sterner, I get down on his level and I continue to badger and ask him to give it to me until he does. If he doesn't, which he's only ever done a rare few times, I then take it off him saying no, naughty, and thank you. Now if temper and tears result from this, so what, babies cry, he'll learn that tantrum tears aren't played into. This is just personally how we handle things so far.

Well...diaper changes are now "pit stops" and I make vrum vrum sounds. It makes him laugh and stay still for the time it takes to change his diaper.
With the car seat I just let him be frustrated while i buckle him in and explain with a super serious voice that it's his seat and he has to deal with it. He eventually accepts it, then he falls asleep 5 minutes later.
Our only problem is that once he fixates on an object or place in the house he'll want it for days and he'll get super angry if he can't get it. A few days ago it was the bowls of cat food. I had to barricade it. Saying no over and over doesn't work (in fact that might be making them more interesting). Making annoyed faces doesn't work. Moving him 10 times doesn't work. Two days later he is still trying to reach them and climbing the boxes I put in front of them 😂

Sometimes I let my son stand during a diaper change. Literally whatever works to get the damn diaper on. Every once in a while he arches his back when I'm putting him in his car seat. I just readjust him, make silly faces or sing a song and buckle him in. If he cries on the way home 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. We're in the car driving, nothing i can do. If he gets mad about the high chair, I show him the food he's going to be eating. That usually helps him forget he's getting buckled into something and excited about eating lol

We're reaching this super fun stage too. I just do what I gotta do. If I have to snap his clothes on while he's crawling away, ok. If I have to listen to him scream because dinner isn't ready the second he wants it, ok. It's not a whole lot of fun but every baby I've ever met has gone through it.

Mine use throws himself back and come back to intentionally hit me. I just hold his hands and look in straight in the eyes and say NO!. And explain why his behavior is not ok. I know he won't understand or even listen but I still explain . He'd stop and probably do it again few hrs later and then i repeat. Now he looks at me and whines( fake cry) when wants so something or if I take something away. It's hard but patience and consistency is key
