Advice? Stabbing feeling in cervix, a lot of pelvic pressure, lightening, and tightening stomach.

For a couple weeks now this has been going on. I am 35 weeks today.My little man turned and dropped between 32w6d and 33w2d, was crampy and painful. A couple weeks ago I started noticing this stabbing feeling in my cervix along with pelvic pressure, almost like he was trying to push down. It went from happening every other day to happening everyday since 5 days ago. Within these 5 days these sessions had occurred 2-3 times a day. Today the stabbing was a bit more intense along with pelvic pressure, lightening, tightening stomach, and an odd urge to press/squish my stomach down (like pushing but without vaginally pushing.) Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Should I call my doctor and ask him to check me?
