60 days late..

My last period was April 10th. I was 60 days late. Sometime last month I went to the health department to get birth control since no one could tell me why I stopped having my period. I was hoping the bc would jump start the process back. Yesterday was my 60th day with no period but this morning I woke up to go pee and I have never been so happy to see blood! I'm so glad that bc helped. I still have 2 months left to wear it to get everything back on track.. I just don't understand why my period would completely stop like it did, and why couldn't a Dr tell me anything. They acted like they have never seen anything like it b4. I know I'm not a medical anomaly. I'm just glad everything is back on track. Has anyone else went through this?
