Good enough to be a writer??

🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸

I'm going to school to be a writer and want to know if I am good enough. This is a rough draft I wrote in little time what do you think?

****Sitting there as she sat alone eating her lunch, feeling bad for herself April looked up to see a handsome young man sitting across from her. He was also alone. Studying, she couldn't make out what he was writing but by the look in his eye and the hand on his head she knew it had to be important. He opened a neon pink highlighter as he quickly made a note of whatever he was reading and smiled. He had sandy blond hair that made her miss the summer and going to a beach on a nice sunny day. His black wire rim glasses made her think he was smart and sophisticated which also gave him a very safe and approachable look. As she sat there staring at his head in his book, she thought about going to introduce herself, but with her crazy hair and and awkward smile how could he even be interested. He smiles and picked up his phone, she thought as to distract himself from staring back. This made her wonder, could he find me attractive? She looked up again to his eyes on the screen of his phone and his thumbs typing a mile a minute. She looked away with dismay, then looked again, he is very handsome she thought to herself as she was looking longer then she should have.

He put down his phone, slowly closed his book and stared back at her packing the rest of his things into his black back pack. She knew that he was just going to get up, walk away, and she would never see him again. But she couldn't let that happen, she had to say something, she didn't. He stood up and left without even giving her a second look, without even giving her a smile goodbye. She would not stand for such an injustice, she got up, she ran after this attractive man she knew nothing about and she stopped him.

"You forgot something." Confused the man looked at her. "My names April." And she began to walk away tucking a folded piece of paper into his michigan jacket pocket. He grabbed her arm pulled her close and kissed her. This caught her off guard, she did didn't know what to do so she just kissed back. Before they knew it they were in a quiet hallway making out with someone neither of them knew anything about, and it was great, if was the best five minutes of April's young life.

"Names Jack." He said as he peeled himself off of her lips. He walked away. The taste of his kiss still lingering on her lips, spearmint gum and a slight hint of the energy drink he guzzled down before their steamy encounter.
