FTM! Looking for suggestions on the best car seats? moderately priced!

I suggest going to the store, try to adjust the straps, try clicking the straps in and undo them. My sister in law had one that I did not like the way the straps worked.

We live in NYC and take lots of taxis, so we chose a Cybex Aton 2 car seat because they are the safest for use with seatbelt only. Few American brands have car seats that allow for a European seat belt installation and that was a priority for us.

Graco literider click connect stroller with Graco snugride 30 click connect car seat. If you go with this, do not buy the system. Buy them separately! The car seat in the system can only be adjusted from the back, whereas the one purchased separately can be adjusted from the front.

I have the safety 1st onboard 35 air +. It has great infant insert, it's a very cushioned car seat and when I done research it was one of the best rates on consumer reports crash test. I got it for around 160. They have a newer version called a 360 that looks really nice too!

Personal preference but I have a graco travel system so it's the stroller and the car seat and also comes with one base and I think it was like $230 or something like that. I love it.

I personally like Graco. But if you're talking best as in like safest, all car seats have to pass the same test so no certain one is safer than another
