Do you believe once a cheat, always a cheat ?

So everyone makes out like it's a choice not a mistake!!!! But I've done it in the past not because of anything like I wanted to but more the fact I've been raped before by a stranger while his mate held me down, and at a different time by an ex boyfriend shortly after we broke up we were still friends I asked him to stop and tried fighting away but he won!! After this happened to me twice when I'm alone with someone I feel unable to say no because I scared if I say no it will happen anyway so I do it :( it's not really like I'm choosing if I'm forced by my own body to protect myself from being raped by consenting 😩😭😡😵 I hate myself!

I think it depends on when you cheat. People who do it in their late teens and early 20s don't know how bad they're hurting someone. So I do believe that person can grow up and change.. they were Just being young and stupid. When you're more mature, out of school, and settled down in a serious relationship..then no .. I'd never give someone another chance. You're old enough to know how terrible it is. If that makes any sense lol.

Some people are serial cheaters and I don't believe they change; they don't want to change and they don't care about hurting others feelings.

BUT some people just make One-time mistakes. They actually feel remorse and regret for their fuck ups and they usually never do it again.

This is only from experience, it's obviously not so black and white in real life, but there ARE atleast those 2 types of people.

I've dated each one. And am still with a man who slipped up once and I forgave him. He'd never do it again.

I believed it for a long time, until I myself slipped up and made the wrong decision that cost me EVERYTHING at that time. I cheated on my ex, with another ex. I lost my boyfriend, my ex, my friends.....
But it's also what opened the door for me to meet my husband. When I lost everyone, I had to find new friends, right? Ones that, even though I screwed up, wouldn't hate me. Dalton didn't. I told him the truth about what I had done from the beginning. The whole truth and I have been 100% honest with him about it ever since. Next week I'll be 19 and we will be married one year. I can't be any happier, and I will never ever even consider putting him through the pain that I caused my ex when I was unfaithful. We all make mistakes, but they don't have to define us.
My belief: once a cheater, you will most likely always be a cheater. But it is possible to change.

No. I believe people can change. I've cheated quite a bit on different boyfriends. Always with my first love, though. Not an excuse, I know. I've never cheated on my husband though. But I think if my husband cheated, I'd give him a chance. People make mistakes. It'd be a long hard road to recovery and forgiveness. But we've made a life together and I do love him regardless. I don't think he ever would. But, it's possible.
