How to tell my mom I think I have BV

Me and my mom don't have the type of relationship where I feel that I can tell her things like this. I've been to the gynecologist but they didn't do a checkup or an exam or anything like that, they just prescribed birth control for my painful periods and ovulation. Any ideas on how to tell my mom I need to see a doctor? If I thought I could just go up to her straight and say it I would have done that already.
