Should I speak to a fertility specialist?

My husband and I are trying to conceive...I have been on birth control since I was 17 and I'm now 25. So around 7 years. I went off of it in August. And still no baby. I have very irregular periods...my last one last 3 weeks. And I haven't had one since. And that was in January.  I've taken many tests and all were negative.

I was on the pill from 14 & came off it at 24. During that time I had depo injections, loads of different pills and i honestly thought I'd screwed up my system. I came off everything in may last year & my periods were all over the place. 1 month i was 42 days, the next 35 days. So when in november i was 7 days period late i thought i was just late again. But im actually pregnant! I was going go give trying a year before I saw a doctor as i know it can take that long to come out of your system. They won't do anything in UK unless you have been off pill 1 year anyway. Baby dust for you xxx

I'm different here but yes I would see my ob or RE and have progesterone levels checked and and some bloods done nothing too invasive but enough  to find out if u are actually ovulating or having anovulation.  I was on. The pill for 6 years after my second child and my body stopped producing hormones due it I ended up with seriously bad secondary infertility and had to do iui to get preg

My recommendation is to see your doctor as soon as possible! I had very similar symptoms after TTC for a year and I am finding out I have premature ovarian failure! Good luck..get ur hormones tested..

The average amount of time it takes is around 6 months and that's not including your body readjusting to ovulation. I would put off seeing a fertility specialist until after a year.

Thanks y'all.  He has 2 children of his own from previous relationships. So I am kinda worried that its me.
