Dyeing my hair and it feels warm to the touch 💇🏼

So I'm dyeing my hair right now, using high lift blonde and 30 vol developer (all out of 20, leaving it on for less time) and my hair feels warm to the touch. I used 30 vol developer last time too and I don't think this happened.

Is this normal/okay? Pretty sure it's just the chemical reaction, but I want to make sure.

No scalp burning, just concerned that I'm gonna fry or burn my hair. I've been dyeing my hair for years and that's never happened, but my friend got hers professionally done and it happened to her. I'm paranoid now 😅
