A n n i v e r s a r y 💕🌸 - long story

Today is our anniversary . To most people it isn't a huge deal - but to me it is . We didn't have it easy at first .

My hubs crushed on me for 5 years before he actually talked to me and we had a date . He knew my children's and my mother but never could approach me - I was married 10 years ago , and had 2 children . He assumed I was still married when in fact I was already divorced for 3 years , so he left me alone .

We had our first date and instantly fell in love . ( sounds cliche but my soul knew what was up )

He took on my 2 humans as if they were his , they absolutely adored him from day 1 ( it helped he knew them before me lol ) we started saving money immediately and planned on getting a place. Two months deep - we went to Salem and New Hampshire ( kinda our thing ) and he proposed with the most beautiful moonstone ring I have ever seen ( he knew my previous ring was massive and compensating for some things 🙄 and that I truly wasn't into that ) bohemian is my thing . Anyways , I digress - I was totally besotted and couldn't wait to plan our mountain top Salem wedding .

Three weeks later I started not to feel so hot . I took the kids trick or treating and ended up eating a bag of chips and growing up everywhere - red flag - I'm vegan & we are total swolemates fitness nuts - I wouldn't even touch that ... long story short , that night I found out I was pregnant . It was impossible . I was on the pill . We weren't ready ! Come to find out my body had an adverse reaction and it wasn't staying put in my system . We were together for 3 months and I was pregos . I felt so safe and ok but of course there's always factors . Yet , we didn't care . We decided we were having this nugget .

We got called crazy , they questioned if he was the dad - it was brutal but again we didn't care .

He moved in with my family, he took on another job - working 60 hrs a week to save and provide for her and us . He sacrificed and dedicated every inch of his being to us .

Last week on July 14 we welcomed Penelope Salem ( our nugget - the most beautiful Greek , Italian , French , Mexican and Native American beauty ) we are moving into our new casa in a few months . We didn't do anything by " the book " . It wasn't easy but within a year we managed to accomplish everything that most people try to do for years . We are currently planning our wedding and I can't wait to have our humans present . Life is crazy and unexpected but we always end up right where we should be .

I thank the universe every night for this man - he's my best friend , my soulmate , my rock , he's all the patience I lack , and I couldn't imagine him ignoring me for another year 😂. Today is our anniversary and nothing seems better than hanging by the pool and ordering Chinese in with our newest addition and tribe tonight . J
