thin sauce for spaghetti?

My husband had surgery a while ago and his stomach gets upset easily. He wants spaghetti with thin, mild sauce. What is a brand that has thin sauce? every brand ive tried has been super thick. Any help would be great!

Hmmm... good question. I can't think of any sauces that are particularly thin. Marinara comes to mind. 🤔 Maybe you could try searching for a recipe and make a thin homemade sauce!

You can boil it down. I just made some myself. I took a can of Prego and let it boil in high for about 4 or 5 minutes and it thinned it out and weakened it.

Make it your self that way it has only what you want in it. Buy a can of steamed peeled plum tomatoes, puree it, add basil, oregano and parsley, a little bit of salt and pepper and a pinch of sugar to cut the bitterness. You can also add sauteed onions and mushrooms, if those are ok for him, or fresh spinach. Summer on low heat cover on for the flavors to mingle. You can use low sodium beef or chicken broth to thin it more of needs be. Or add heavy cream and parmesan cheese for a creamy sauce.

I don't buy thin sauces so I can't recommend one, except to suggest buying a marinara type sauce and puree it till thin enough. Marinara sauce are simpler with less ingredients than typical spaghetti sauce.
