Do you think it's unnatural for a woman to not want children?

I feel in my personal life I am lowkey criticized for not wanting kids I know that I won't be a mother that a child needs and I physically and emotionally can't even fathom it some people think ill change my mind quite frankly I don't think so I think that's bullcrap honestly and sometimes I feel like I'm looked as a freaking walking baby maker like as a woman I'm supposed to want kids am I the only one? Do you think it's unnatural?

It's not the old days where it was just expected to be a baby making machine. In this day and age, all women have the right to choose whether or not they want or have children. I feel that the older generations will probably be more judgemental about it as they are part of the population who were expected to have kids. As a woman who has always known kids are part of my future, I say kudos to you and all others who have said no to kids. I don't think I'd be brave enough to say it or stand behind my decision if I were to choose not have to kids. It's such a personal decision between a woman and her partner and no one can tell you you're wrong. Parenthood isn't for everyone, I'm currently expecting our 1st so I'm not speaking from experience. I say, just do what works for you and don't let anyone push you to do something you don't want, stand your ground!

I feel you, it's really frustrating when someone looks at you and goes oh do you hate kids?  No I just don't want them.  I've gotten everything from weird looks to being called selfish.  But the worst is "oh, you'll change your mind".  I hate that, like oh you think you know me better than I do?  People can be real tools.

Not at all. Some people need to get over themselves and accept the fact that people have different goals and that children aren't the ultimate desire of every woman.

I mean scientifically yeah its unnatural because the main drive for all animal species is to reproduce but that's it. Is it wrong not to want them? Absolutely not. I think if you don't want kids then that's your prerogative and no one should push their views on you. We don't need more kids in this society (i personally still want them though despite my moral conscience going off about overpopulation) and not everyone's goals is to have them. If you're happier without kids then so be it don't have kids. No, no one is going to "change their mind". No they don't hate kids. No they aren't selfish. Having kids is selfish imo but whatever I'm still pregnant so be selfish. I think if you want to pursue your career or travel or whatever else you want to do then that's perfectly okay just like having kids is okay. All this judgement on women has to stop.

No It's not unnatural at all,  the people who feel like they were born to be mothers will have a hard time understanding it though. I know lots of people who don't want kids,  at first I was one of those people who was in my own head like " are you sure" because I feel like I am a natural mother so for me I couldn't wrap me head around it, but after taking with them it's clear that not everyone has the same life desires which is wonderful!  We all want different things in life and if being a mother is not something you want then nobody should try to pressure you be one!

No it definitely not unnatural because I told myself and I keep saying that I will never have kids. Do get me wrong I've work with kids and I love them but it was never my thing. But here I am today having a kid. For me a kids isn't a necessity in life so if a woman doesn't want them that there personal choice but as us being woman we are expected to have kids which is something we don't see fit for us at the moment or ever so people tend to call us crazy which is what my family always said you'll change your mind no not really. My partner wants a kid so I'm giving him one and he earned it but it really wasn't my thing to have a kid.

I can't entirely understand it,  only because of how much I love my life with kids and I often wonder why anyone would want to miss out on that.   But in saying that,  I don't judge women who don't want kids.  It's their body, their life and their decision and doesn't effect me in the slightest 😊
