Dealing with grief
About an hour ago, my boyfriend just got a phone call that his grandfather passed. They were extremely close & he immediately broke down, and went outside to clear his head. My boyfriend needs his space when dealing with distress , I've learned this from past experiences. However, I told my parents because we live with my parents and they immediately bum rushed him outside and talked to him for about half an hour. But I didn't go outside because at this point, he is my main concern and I just wanna make sure he's okay and I know that having all 3 of us out there talking to him would've been completely overwhelming for him. So then he came back in and announced that he was going to the nursery home with his family. I told him why I didn't come outside and that I wanted to go with him or at least drive him there safely and he just said "I'll holla at you" and left. I wanna be there for him so bad both physically and emotionally but he is shutting me out! What should I do? Am I doing something wrong? I know he's in an extreme mental state and he just wants to be around family and clear his head but as his woman, I'm so confused about what I should be doing. I feel like I'm not 💩 right now because I didn't immediately console him but I'm just trying to be very considerate of his feelings. What should I do?
