What do you think of the new doctor being a female in Doctor Who?

For some reason the new doctor being a female has very mixed and controversial views. I personally love the twist of the doctor being a female and I'm excited to see what she brings to the show, I will be judging her based on her acting/whether she fits the role rather than her being a female. What do you think?

I'm such a big doctor who fan and when I found out it was going to be a women I felt it wasnt the right time to add a lady and wabout the sidekick 
I'm not against but I don't like the idea either if that mistakes

I stopped watching when they decided not to follow the show's established canon of a maximum of 12 regenerations 🤷🏼‍♀️. Sometimes the show needs to end. I stopped watching Supernatural for the same reason.

Oh they actually went with that? I only heard they were thinking of making the new doctor a female. I'm not real familiar with the more recent episodes.
