Just trying to understand the thoughts of others on treatment, let me know your stories and opinions. Personally, I love it and it has helped me a lot.

With my social anxiety I kind of just force myself into uncomfortable situations to prove to myself it's not as bad as it seems. Still a work in progress though.

I'm in individual therapy, have been in various groups and started anti depressants a few months ago. I don't really want to think about what I'd be like without treatment.

I am in treatment when I was 25 and serving in the navy I was raped by a marine.   I left my whole life behind and was stationed in Japan when this happened.  It destroyed me.  I received help and medications but time was truly ,my biggest help.  I still deal w ptsd and flash back everyday and am now afraid of men in uNiform which is very hard seeing as my husband is a retired soldier (army) 
Treatment saved my life it gave me the tools to deal with and learn how to cope with what happened to me.

Im in individual therapy, group therapy, and im taking antidepressants.

My first diagnosis was borderline personality disorder and severe anxiety, I was in therapy for months and then stopped going. I just recently voluntarily hospitalized myself for 3 days for suicidal ideation and then had to go back this police were involved because I sliced my face with a razor. While at the hospital, I was diagnosed with 
Major Depression (severe)
Anxiety (severe) 
Borderline personality disorder 
Bipolar disorder 
Psychosis 
Suicidal ideations
I am on meds Gabapenton 300 mg 3x a day and Risperidon 1mg at night. I feel great!

Finally found a really good psychiatrist and an insightful counselor! Getting help & being persistent in finding someone who works well has been the best decision for my mental health and the rest of my life tbh. Still in process for sure, but just having people I can trust is helping so much.

I had talk therapy for a good few months, it didn't help at all because when people tell me things I tend to think their lying to me (too many people have lied to me for me to automatically believe people) so someone telling me things like "you're beautiful!" Just doesn't change the way I think...
Also, I didn't tell my mum it wasn't helping, so I finished my last session being all 'happy' and I haven't gone back since. I'm honestly not different at all and I don't know what to do.

I'm not currently in treatment, but I was in a partial hospitalization treatment program for an eating disorder. It helped while I was there, but i immediately relapsed (less than a week after I was out). 
I actually got kicked out because I was not a good influence on the other girls that were in the program. 
It made me feel like absolute shit because I was there for more than twice as long as the average person was there for, I wasn't getting any better no matter how hard I tried, and they topped it off by kicking me out two days after my boyfriend broke up with me.

I been off my meds and quit therapy since March...i regret it and I feel stuck
