Yesterday at Work

I work at a restaurant as a waitress. A homeless lady came into the restaurant and asked if she could have the remains of chocolate cake that someone had left on a table outside. That customer was in the bathroom, so I told her that I didn't know if the customer was still working on it or not, but I told her I could go in the back and talk to my boss (my boyfriend) and see what we could do. Everything was pretty much cleaned up in the restaurant except for our egg-cooking station, so I asked the woman if she wanted us to make her some eggs. She said yes and came back with her husband. We made them a nice breakfast with eggs, bacon, fruit, and a bagel. They were very nice and very happy. They looked on our menu and saw that we used avocado in a few of our items and asked if we needed any because they know of a really nice public avocado tree. We told them that we did. So they ate and we chatted and they left. An hour or so later, they came in with a backpack FILLED with avocados for us. In exchange for like a $10 breakfast, we got like $50 worth of avocados. It was crazy. It was a nice story though and I wanted to share.
