36w2d appt- First cervix check

I had my cervix checked for the first time at my 36w appt and she said I wasn't even close to dilated! She had to really get in there because my cervix was so far back and closed. While I don't want to go past 41 weeks I reeeeally don't want to deliver before 39 even more! I guess I can dilate over night but I rather take this as good news as my doctors seemed happy about it! They also took my group be strep culture (I made my husband look away 😂) and drew blood for HIV test. So something more than the HB Doppler and belly measure! 😬 and my next appt is scheduled for my due date month 😱😆
