Losing Virginity at 14

I'm 14, and I lost my virginity a couple of weeks ago. We used protection and everything. But I'm just wondering - is this too young to have sex? I just want to live a little, and it's my body, my choices. He's a great guy - cares about me, treats me well, understands me, loyal, takes my feelings and needs into consideration, and is fine with having protected sex.
