Positive Antibody?!?

I just got a call from my doctor about having a positive antibody result in my bloodwork - they would not really give anymore information other than they hope its a false positive and want me retested asap. Anyone else have this?! I'm 15 weeks pregnant and freaking out 😭

Basically it just means that if you were to need a blood transfusion you’d need specialized blood that matched your antibodies so you don’t have a reaction to a transfusion. I’m a nurse, I see this frequently at work! It might just take longer to find the matched blood in a case of you needing a transfusion!

Did you find out if this was a true positive? I got a positive antibody screen twice 4weeks apart and then 4 weeks after that it tested out for anti-c antibody. Meaning that I became sensitized during my first pregnancy. If you want there is a private Facebook group called ISO moms they have tons of information. Send me a pm if you want to be added.
