Would you take dog food from a stranger?

So not in the context of your dog is starving or anything, but if someone you don't know just randomly offers you dog food for no apparent reason, would you feed it to your dog? This happened in my office today and I said "I don't take dog food from strangers" one of my coworkers kinda laughed at me like I was crazy. It was just random kibble in a ziplock baggie. Am I crazy and paranoid?

If it was a new, unopened bag of food, sure. Otherwise no.

I wouldn't feed my dog that either. My dog deserves better than kibble in a ziplock LOL and I most definitely wouldn't feed my dog anything that could be harmful to her...  And why does your coworker even have a bag of dog food to bring to the office...

No you aren't. You're being cautious and that's okay. I see so many stories about razor blades in hot dogs and scattered on play grounds. I don't blame you for declining. & It's cool you were straight up with them and said no. I probably would have accepted to be polite but l wouldn't have actually given it to my dog. I hate confrontation.

No way in hell. I'm so picky about everything my two dogs eat it's crazy. It has to have a label to read! It's also mind blowing what kind of food people feed their dog(s), I swear they don't even care about the ingredients. Please don't buy grocery store dog food, stupid prescription dog food or beneful lol. Gross

No people are crazy. I won't even let my dog drink water out of a pail that some people or businesses leave outside during the summer for pets. You never know who will come by and poison it :(

I probably wouldn't take it either... Especially if it's not in an unopened bag. You never know what's actually in it. People are nuts.
