Don't know what to do

I've been dating my boyfriend for 8 months and it's always been great but we've been fighting A LOT and it's always about the stupidest things mostly about how overly jealous and protective he is. And don't get me wrong some of that stuff I think is good for a relationship but he goes way overboard with the whole thing. And my parents opinions have been weighing down on me a lot mostly my mum's, none of my family likes me dating him and it really sucks. And here lately ive felt like I'm the only one holding the relationship up. The other night he told me things that really upset me and I just don't know what to do. Have any advice?
