If you all co-parent at different times, it seems to me it would be easier to have conversations regarding the children together. I don't speak from experience, but just seems like everyone can be on the same page, voice concerns, things going on, etc. Obviously, everyone may not get along, so if it would turn into a giant screaming match, or anything unproductive, that would have to be taken into consideration. I am sure some don't think a step parent should have any say, and I disagree with that. Ultimately, the two birth parents are the main decision makers, but if someone is also helping to take care of/raise the child, all opinions should be taken into account. Never know, could enlighten each other on some parenting techniques or possibly even spot a problem before it's too late.
