Teething and when Tylenol is necessary. Advice?

My LO is almost 7 months. He is def teething and some days are worse than others. 1st time mom and seeking advice on when you think tylenol is necessary for teething. How was ur LO when you decided to give him pain meds. How was he acting? 
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My daughter was so miserable and cranky I really tried to just give it to her 20 mins before bed time. On her really bad days she might get 2 doses.

You can do Tylenol or Motrin over 6 months. It's ok to give if you can really tell discomfort or at bedtime to help sleep a little more comfortable

My mom was always telling me my baby needed Tylenol, but I always tried to minimize the times I'd give it to him. If your baby seems real uncomfortable or is having a hard time sleeping because of it I'd give them Tylenol. It's kind of a miracle drug!

My almost 7 month old wears an amber necklace all the time so he is drooling and chewing.m but doesn't seem to be in pain. I've only used Tylenol when he has a low grade fever. Also I haven't tried it yet but someone else suggested something called pumpkin butt teething oil. I bought it but haven't used it yet.
