5w3d no heartbeat?!

I had my first prenatal appt this morning and I thought I was 6w1d based on my LMP. After the ultrasound the tech told me I was measuring 5w3d and it was too early for a heartbeat. Sent me for bloodwork and I go back in 2 weeks for second ultra sound. It's highly likely that I ovulated late. This is my first baby so I'm freaking out a bit. Anyone have a similar experience?!?

Very normal- but understandable that you are nervous. At 5 w 3d I had nothing but an empty sac. One week later there was a baby with a heart beat. A couple days make a big difference!! :)

I had my first ultrasound at 5weeks and my baby wasn't even there to see yet 😰 it was just the sac. But I go back April 7th to see and hopefully hear the heartbeat. 💕

Very normal still super early for that try not to stress it's not good for you or the baby, some women can't find a heart beat at 7 weeks because it's still to early and in the end everything is perfectly fine, my cousin was told there was no heart beat at 8 weeks and then went back at 9 weeks and there was a heart beat now she has a beautiful 2 year old girl!

Same happened to me, I thought I was 6w3d and ultrasound put me at 5w4d, went back at 8w and got to see the heartbeat and the ultrasound put me ahead 5 days so I was right the first time.. However I was disappointed to not be able to hear the heartbeat but she said with the baby so small sending sound waves can be harmful. At 10w3d I heard the heartbeat by Doppler!

It's totally ok, the heart doesn't even start beating until 6weeks ;) I'm sure it will be there on your next scan ;) good luck!!!
