Do you let strangers hold your baby?

We recently stayed at a hotel and my baby likes to smile at people. One lady came over and asked to hold her. I said she might cry. I personally don't feel comfortable letting a stranger hold my baby. Do you?

No way! I'm pretty laxed about a ton of things, but a stranger holding my baby?? No thanks...I can't anticipate if you're going to run or something...there's a lot of weirdos out there...I totally get that most people out there wouldn't do anything to harm my baby, but it's totally unnecessary to hold a stranger's baby...come say hi to her, maybe touch her cute toes (though I could do without that too...), and walk away...
If I'm in a setting with other moms (like a mom baby yoga class I did..) I am more open to it...I don't know you, but we are meeting up and hanging out to get to know each other...very different than a random person in the grocery store...to me at least...

Nope. I also hate when strangers touch my sons hands which happens ALL THE TIME.

Agree with previous poster. I just feel so disturbed when people try to touch my son. If a stranger asked to hold him I'd laugh and tell them absolutely not!

I don't mind it when people touch my baby. Doesn't bother me at all. I know they don't mean harm and my baby loves playing with other people. But I'm not okay with letting a stranger hold her.

Yup. I try to let as many people hold her as possible to cut down on her freaking out around people. So far it works well. Only do it when my hudband is around. because he is a cop and always carries handcuffs on him. So if anyone tried anything he would be on them before they could take 5 steps.

Only 2x.  Once I was at the DMV and I was getting a new license because we moved.  Didn't realize I needed a new picture so a man just held her for the fastest picture ever and he stood where she could see me.  Then I was visiting my dying grandma who passed a few weeks ago and there was an elderly woman sitting in the lobby who asked if she could hold her a minute but it was really me holding her on the lady's lap while in her wheel chair and my daughter smiled at her and brought her joy.  Neither person touched her face or inappropriately.  But no normally I wouldn't.  I barely let grandmas hold her.  😂.
