Anyone else annoyed?

Question

Anyone else get annoyed by women posting about starting fertility treatments after only 6 months of TTC? Or women who claim to give up TTC after 6 months? Maybe I'm partial but seems a little ridiculous to be so negative and dramatic after only giving your body 6 months to trying to get pregnant. It's a huge thing for your body to undergo and claiming such things as to being so depressed or something so drastic as starting fertility treatments after only 6 tries is ridiculous to me. What do you think?

The ASRM recommends that women over the age of 35 who have tried for 6 months start seeing a specialist. So  it entirely depends on your age and your medical history. Another example is if you have PCOS - like me - and do not ovulate, there really is no reason to even wait the six months before you see somebody. The guidelines are appropriate for healthy people - but not for anyone who has a known fertility issue.

Speaking as someone who has been trying for over 6 months and suffering through a miscarriage, it can be discouraging. Especially when you feel like there is something wrong with you. My DH and I have both been to doctors and everything has come back normal, which is even more discouraging. If you don't want to see the posts, scroll past them. Please remember that you aren't aware of everything each woman has gone through, and what you see in a post is only a small glimpse of a person's thoughts and feelings.
