Bf doesn't want to have sex!

I know I sound crazy, but I cant stop overthinking about this. I've been with my bf for 3 years now & we do it a good amount. On average 3-4 times a week. Some weeks more & some less. As of today we have not had sex for a week & it's driving me crazy!

My bf is just not in the mood & I genuinely get upset about it. But he has been reassuring me & telling me that he still loves me, that nothing has changed & that we'll do it soon. I want to believe him but as the days go bye I just get more upset. I just want the D & just do it already. Is this normal?

Update: We tend to go through "dry spells" where we won't do it for a week...sometimes very rarely 2. But once we get out of it, we do it every day or every other day until the "dry spell" comes along again. So...this has happened before but it's just so hard on me for some reason. Every day I wait to see & it's just not happening. He's been stressed about football training camp/practice, but he just generally has not been in the mood, even to do it to himself. I get emotional as well, but he has continued to reassure me nothing is wrong & that it'll come soon. I just hate this.
