How many words does your kid know?

List the words they know! 
My son only says three, mama, dada, baba. 
He understands other words like bath, grandma, food, dog, etc 
Asking because my cousins suffer from autism and still only say a few words. When should I start to worry?

Hard to say... he can say mama (mom), tata(dad), kitty, aki ( our cats) and titty, all purposefully. He isn't saying them very often though, maybe a few times a day. For example he says tata to my husband mostly when he comes home from work.
He seems to also be saying da (yes) when I ask him something but everything he babbles sounds like da, ba, ta or eeee lately so frankly I can't tell.

My daughter says mama, dada, baba, Kiki (kitty), papa. but the last 2 she just started saying and doesn't say them all the time like mama. I've been in distress about the same thing. i met an 11 mo at work and they seemed to understand a lot more than my daughter could. I know every child is diffrent but the worring that your child isn't meeting all development mile stones is awful!!

How can you tell when they understand words?

My girl is just over 10 months and says 'hi' and 'dada' nonstop. She also says 'doh' for dog, ruh for Remi and zoh for Zooey. Can say the dogs names but not mama. 😂 She understand a TON though, up and don't touch and come here and book and nap and food, etc. She's super fun to communicate with right now. She also goes "ooh ooh" when I ask her what a monkey says which I think is hilarious. #easilyentertained

He has said kitty cat and dada purposefully in the last month but hasn't done so recently. He can sign "all done." He understands our names when we say them, he knows the cats' names, he knows "up" and "bottle," and he understands the sign for "book" but hasn't signed it back yet. There are probably more but I can't think of them yet, and there are probably things he understands I haven't noticed him understanding yet.

In Portuguese 3 or 4, in Dutch another 3 or 4 and in English around 6 words. She doesn't speak yet, only understands them.
