Smoke smell ?

So we recently moved into some apartments but you can tell the people whole previously lived in it were heavy smokers because it reeks of old smoke so much that everything we have already smells like smoke and weve only stayed jn it a week! Im worried about the smell because we have a 5 month old daughter and her nose has become stuffy and what not. We have tried just about EVERYTHING to get rid of the smell but it just comes right back. The apartment owners have even painted the walls and i scrubbed the closet walls and doors that werent repainted and alot of yellow came out of them we cleaned it up amd down and left it smelling heavy of bleach and ammonia but IT STILL CAME BACK. Does anybody know of anything that will rid it? Help pleaseeee 😩
