when did you stop having your period aftet your iud procedure? or do you still get your period?

I got my IUD put in 6 months ago exactly and up until this month I've had consistent periods.  I had a check up just a couple of weeks ago and my doctor confirmed the IUD was in place and it was clearly working, as I was not pregnant. is it normal to stop having a period, even after 6 months?

Placed in May. Period stopped in August.

I got mine inserted about 5 months ago. I had consistent periods up until this last one which is 15 days late.... however each period was lighter and was shorter than the previous. I can't feel my string but my gyno said it's there and that periods can stop after a while.

I had my Mirena inserted last month and had spotting for a few weeks afterwards. I've yet to receive my period, but it may just be my body trying to get used to the hormones!

They're all different.. on paragaurd you still get your period..
