Did you miscarry with your first pregnancy ?

I was pregnant with my first and lost the baby at 9 and a half weeks. This has been the hardest journey for my husband and me. I want to know how many women lost their angel with their first pregnancy.

After trying for 7 months, we finally discovered we were pregnant on March 22! It was the best day of my life. Then on March 28 my hcg crashed and I began to miscarry. It was the most devastating thing I've ever experienced. I was 6 weeks along, but the roller coaster of pure joy and then horrible devastation has been difficult.

But after reading many women's experiences, I've realized that most first pregnancies (60% + ) end in early miscarriage. So it made me feel less alone.

We are going to try again in 2 cycles. So now I'm actually "hoping" for my period to return! (That feels odd after months of wishing it would go away).

I am supposedly at my 9th week now. Last week I went in for my ultrasound and hcg level bloodwork. My obgyn said that they cannot see anything but 2 empty sacs. :( I was still holding onto hope that they're okay. But the bloodwork didnt double as they should be so my obgyn immediately concluded (and verbally said she was 100% sure) that this will no longer be a viable pregnancy, and I will surely miscarry. I still don't know what am I supposed to feel at this point.. I have an appointment this Tuesday to discuss my options. Prior to everything, they scheduled me for another ultrasound after 2 weeks. I don't know if I still should go. But one things for sure, I am not doing a d&c just yet.

Yes I did miscarry with my first pregnancy. I found out on March 6th that I was pregnant. Then on March 11th, I was told that my hcg level wasn't doubling the way it should. On March 18th, it was confirmed that I would miscarry (hcg went down and nothing seen in ultrasound). Started bleeding the next day. I was 6 1/2 weeks. This past Thursday, I had to have a D&C because my hcg level kept going up slightly after going down twice. I'm now recovering from the D&C and hoping that my numbers will now start going down. A MC is hard enough and it dragging out like this, is making it even harder for me. I just want it to be over already. It's been an emotional roller coaster and I feel like no one in my life understands what I'm going through. I pray that my number goes down and that this is all over soon.

I lost my first.. I'm 21 and it was planned, we were 9 weeks also and baby stopped growing a couple of weeks earlier! We are TTC again after our lost in February but it was also one of the hardest things I've ever had to experience.. I finally came to terms with the fact it was no fault of my own that I MC'd, which had made things a lot easier for me to deal with, but that still doesn't make it any less heart breaking seeing all my friends and family around be becoming pregnant and having babies.. Especially when then are almost exactly as far along as I would have been! I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you get your rainbow baby soon.. 💕 xxx

It's amazing that when I was young and naïve, I carried my daughter full term, no complications at all. Now, we are actually planning and trying and I miscarried. It's in God's hands, and I trust Him.

I'm so sorry for your loss although I marked that no I did not lose my first, I did lose my second 3 weeks ago. I hope you both get your rainbow baby soon!
