Was one partner ready to become a parent before the other?

Question

Did any of you experience one partner being ready to become a parent before the other? How did you get through it? 
I am trying not to feel angry or resentment towards my husband, but this is just really hard. 😞

That was my husband and I! After a while of getting shot down I just stopped bringing it up and tried giving him space, meanwhile i was creating a baby budget & etc just because planning and making goals really calms me down. one day he asked about it and BOOM! He wanted to give it a try. He was just really worried about timing and finances so seeing a thought out plan on paper really reassured him. Now he's more excited than I am!

Yes. I wanted it before he did. I waited a while and during that time explained to him how awesome it could be and basically talked him into it. He was willing, just not super stoked. Honestly, he never seemed excited while we were TTC but definitely was when I told him I was pregnant and during my pregnancy. If you know you both want kids, he'll come around eventually. It's a huge commitment.

My husband was ready before I was.  I was so worried about the negatives that came with it - weight gain,  losing my body for nine months etc that it took me a while to come around to the idea of trying.

Before meeting my fiancé,  I had a miscarriage that devestated me. So when I caught baby fever, he'd entertain the idea but remind me that we have plenty of time. Finally accepted the waiting when he decided to risk a Glow 8% day. Needless to say,  I'm 23 weeks now.  He took a while to be excited but now that he is, he can't wait for our son.
