How to hide not drinking?

Have upcoming outings with coworkers and friends and need all your creative ideas around how to hide not drinking. Do you order nonalcoholic beer? Do you go early and ask the bartender to give you special mixes that look like cocktails? How do I fake drink wine?

I've got one! Order a bottled beer, take it to the bathroom, pour out the beer, rinse the bottle well and fill it with water. No one should be able to tell the difference! As long as no one asks to taste your beer-water 😂

I just ordered a regular beer and pretended to drink it and then rinsed it out in the bathroom when I could. It worked with some of our friends but our closest friends guessed immediately, because I'm usually the life of the party, plus they knew we were TTC. You can also do soda water and lime a cocktail glass but I found some bartenders were kind of not cool about that, even though I told them I'd tip as if it had my usual vodka in it.
