belly piercing infection? 🤦🏻‍♀️

I got my belly pierced about a year ago and I'm not sure if I have an infection. I went online to do some research and it says not to take it out bc it will leave an abscess. Do you think this is an infection? what should I do?

clearly looking at these pictures the piercing is not far enough in the skin. it doesn't matter what you have it pierced with.  if it is not far enough in. It. Will. Reject. period. it needs to be taken out. let it heal and go get it done again by someone who knows what they are doing.

looks like it might be rejecting not infected. this is what mine did and it looked exactly the same. red, irritated and hurt to move it. 
you may end up having to take it out or else it will reject completely and you'll be left with a nice scar and scar tissue.

i took mine out for about a year and put it back in it got super infected when It hurt every time i moved it a little bit. i took it out and left it alone for a week. i got a small bump i let it pop and then I put a different ring back in and its fine.

it should always be pierced with a ring and never a barbell. Go get it swapped and it will heal super fast.

ive had mine for almost 2 yrs... tbh its just healing but this looks like an at home piercing and if the needle wasnt clean and it wasnt done properly then you need to take it out it will get infected and it will hurt ALOT, mine was profecinal and i got an infection speaking from expierince take it would clean it very good. DO NOT USE PROCIDE, use a very small amount of alcohol to clean the area use salt water with a q-tip to clean the wound. once youve done that make sure you have a brand new piercing a belly ring not the one u have in. it wont heal properly. once u have the brand new one clean it with alcohol put gloves on starel gloves and put it in. it will hurt going in. take it slow do not rush it or u can damage it. once u got that done take a shower make sure u use antibacterial soup no scents!! and clean it good very lightly so u dont irritate it anymore then it already is. and give it a few weeks nd it should be fine.
